Park Festivals

3MJC is involved in the organization of all three state park festivals, which are held in July, August, and September. Whether it's through event sponsorship or assisting with preparation, we love being able to help show off the beauty of our parks to the community. See below for more information about the three park festivals and our role in their development.

Celebrate the Bloom

3MJC helped to create this one-of-a kind festival held every July at Jennings. Join us as we celebrate the iconic Blazing Star wildflower that thrives in the Jennings Prairie. There are dozens of free educational opportunities throughout the day, including guided walks and demonstrations. Stop by the vendor area for some live music and souvenir shopping, then gather for the symbolic "burning of the brush" at the end of the day.

Moraine State Park Regatta

Held every August, the Moraine State Park Regatta is one of the biggest festivals in Western Pennsylvania. The Regatta is a two-day celebration of Lake Arthur and the recreational activities it provides. From free kayaking to dozens of programs at the Education Tent, the Regatta is a great family outing that culminates in a fantastic fireworks display over the lake. 3MJC is a proud sponsor of the festival.

McConnells Mill Heritage Festival

Organized by our friends at the Portersville-Prospect Rotary, the McConnells Mill Heritage Festival is a whimsical step back in time. With Civil War re-enactments, wagon rides, and live music, the Festival is a terrific way to both celebrate the past and look forward to the future of the park. Free tours are offered of the Mill and vendors sell all sorts of unique memorabilia.
